Intent

At Les Landes School, our intent is to provide a rich and challenging curriculum, designed with the belief that every child is unique and capable of achieving their full potential. Implementation

To achieve our curriculum intent, we offer an enriched educational experience that ensure progression of skills and comprehensive coverage of subjects. It is ambitious, ensuring that all students receive a rich and varied educational experience. Through delivery, we create meaningful learning opportunities that connect knowledge across subjects, fostering curiosity and engagement. For example, our History curriculum emphasises the importance of understanding local Jersey heritage while encouraging students to make connections to global events. Similarly, our French curriculum enhances linguistic skills and cultural appreciation, reflecting our geographic and cultural ties to France. Physical Education, creative arts, and outdoor learning are vital components, promoting holistic development and well-being. Our residential programme in KS2 provides opportunities for all children to develop independence whilst enriching the curriculum.

The curriculum is delivered through adaptive teaching approaches tailored to meet the needs of all learners, ensuring equity and accessibility.
