Cycling Crocodile Alternative Transport Week Ride Out
UNCRC Article#24
Sunday 19th May.
To launch Alternative Transport Week, there will be a ride out from the Royal Square to Millenium Park, at 11am. All families are welcome to join us, even if you haven't ridden with the crocodile before. All we ask is that children ride bikes without stabilisers (no scooters).
We will leave the meeting point of St Ouen's Parish Hall at 9am prompt. There will be a meeting point at 9.45am at the duck pond in St Peter's Valley.
The official ride out will go from the Royal Square at 11am to Millemium Park and our ride will end there at approx. 11.30 where there are stalls etc.
If your child is in Y5 or Y6 and has achieved L2 Bikeability, they are welcome to join us without an adult and you can meet them at Millemium Park.
We want to ensure that every rider is insured, and will require £1 per participant, for cover with British Cycling (ParentPay). Everyone will be required to wear a high visibility vest and helmet. Children can collect vests from school and we have spare adult ones if you don't have one.
We are the only school with a Cycling Crocodile; it's a defining feature of our school and we are very proud of it. Please support us if you can.
All details and sign up via ParentPay by Wednesday 15th May.
