Thank you for supporting our biggest fundraiser of the year. The children did a brilliant job of encouraging one another and completing the 5km distance. All donations are welcome via ParentPay or direct to School Fund sort code 40-25-41 a/c 31082450, ref WALK/family Name. We will let you know how much we raised in the coming weeks.

Following this, you can collect your child at 3pm and return with them to the hall to sample the hot food. This will be available until 4pm. Here is a link to the brochure for parents.

You may have received an email from noreply@sims.co.uk. This is giving you access to SIMS Parent App lite and shows your child/childrens’ personal data we have stored. Please ensure you have checked and updated any dietary requirements as this information is currently being collated in advance of the launch of our School hot lunches.

Once again, we will be supporting the Mustard Seed shoebox appeal, with Christmas boxes going to Romania and Ukraine. All information can be found here and the latest drop off date is Friday 25th October.
Residents parking and message from St Ouen's Honorary Police
As a school, we want to maintain positive relationships with the community and on the whole, they understand our parking challenges. A couple of residents have reported parents parking in or across their driveways. The Honorary Police came to see me this week, concerned about cars parking along Rue Du Nord, obstructing emergency services. They intend monitoring parking from next Monday for four weeks and have said they will put cones out if cars park unsafely. As a result of this, I have met with the Education Department again this week to try and find a solution. Thank you for your understanding.
JUST ONE Tree
Our school will be taking part in JUST ONE Tree Day on Friday 18th October. Your child can take part in a finger painting tree activity to demonstrate their commitment and you can sign up by paying £1 on ParentPay.
JUST ONE Tree supports reforestation projects in areas severely affected by deforestation such as Kenya, Madagascar, Mozambique & Brazil. So far, our forest has 815 trees and will remove 251 tonnes of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere over the next 25 years.
Parents Evening
UNCRC Article 5, 27, 28 & 29
These ten minute appointments with your child's class teacher will take place on Thursday 17th October 5.30-7.30 and Tuesday 22 October 3.30-5.30. Appointments will be available from 9am on Monday 7th October. If you are booking more than one appointment, please leave a 10 minute gap between them. Please follow the link to access the booking portal
As the weather is getting colder, all children should be bringing a named coat to school. We will be encouraging them to wear this when they are outside. Also, the children's earrings must be studs and not hoops. Thank you.
Rights Respecting Accreditation - Parent meeting
UNCRC Article 42
On Wednesday 16th October, the UK assessor will be visiting to validate our Gold status. As part of the information gathering, she would like to talk to a couple of parents about the impact the rights have had on their child. If you are able to stay at 0845 for 15 minutes to talk to her, please let Mrs Wiseman know.

Inspired by Rory McCann's work in our dome area, Alfie has been experimenting with spray painting at home. Everyone in assembly was astounded by his work.
