Congratulations to children from Y4 to Y6 who entered the French Eisteddfod last week, giving up their lunchtimes and their own time to practice. Y5 girls entered a role play and they won their class, receiving the trophy. Y4 performed a choral verse, winning their class and being awarded the trophy. Evie and Ava from Y5 performed a song of their choice, singing Castle on a Cloud. They were awarded a Platinum certificate, won their class and received the trophy. All our other French entries received Gold certificates. Thank you to Mrs Price, who leads French in our school; this level of success would not be possible without her expertise and commitment. A huge thank you to Mrs Annette Le Bail, who came out of retirement to help, too!
Well done to Eli, who took part in the Portuguese speaking class. This is the first time we have entered this and Eli spoke with confidence.
In the Creative Arts section, Les Landes has been awarded The Marion Munz-Jones Trophy for excellent use of colour and variety of techniques and this will be presented to our children at the prize-giving next week at Highlands. Our entries can be seen at the Royal Jersey Showground (RJA&HS) this weekend.

If you haven't managed to pay for the non uniform last month, it's still available on ParentPay.
Jersey Triathlon - save the date
This event is open to all children from Y2 upwards, and takes place at Les Quennevais on Saturday 7th June. Blood Cancer UK Jersey branch supported one of our families last year and it is an event we have supported for the last few years. We have been recognised for the last four years as the school with the most entries. Early Bird registration is open now. Please support us if you can; it's a really well-organised event.
We are looking for parishioners who were in Jersey during the Occupation and are willing to come in to talk to the children. If you know of anyone, please can you contact us as soon as possible as we are hoping to film for a BBC project next week.
